JT Daniels to transfer to West Virginia

Image
On the morning of Wednesday, April 13th, Bulldog fans received word that quarterback JT Daniels will be transferring to West Virginia to play in the Big 12 for the Mountaineers. Daniels will be playing as a graduate transfer once receiving his degree in psychology from UGA in May. Upon the news of JT Daniels transferring, he had nothing but high praises for Georgia fans. A quote by Daniels reads "I love Georgia and Georgia has always loved me since I've been here, it's been a really, really good and supportive fan base. I'm very thankful,". In his two seasons with Georgia, Daniels went 7-0 while setting school records for passing efficiency and yards per attempt. Daniels was unfortunately sidelined due to an injury in his upper body that led to the start of the national championship-winning quarterback Stetson Bennet. Daniels will hope to pick up the pieces of this West Virginia team who is coming off of a 6-7 season under their fourth-year coach Neal Brown.

Latest Updates on Georgia Footballs Spring Preparation

Image
As Georgia football completes its first seven practices of the spring, fans are wondering how the team is looking and where our positions are being filled from the players we lost to the National Football League. Fans look forward to the annual G-day scrimmage coming up on April 16th. This scrimmage will allow us to see who we will have at quarterback and what additions we have added to our offensive line. It is being said that there is a battle at every position in practice which is exactly what Dawg fans want to hear. Having these kids battle for the starting spot allows for fierce competition for the players and means that there is talent all over the team, something Georgia fans have been trying to express to the media. Though Georgia is the defending national champs, they still have major roles to fill from playmakers that have either transferred or left for the league. There is a silver lining in losing great players and that is Kirby Smart and his recruiting efforts are w

Dawgs Perform at the NFL Combine

Image
Dawgs perform at the NFL combine The former players of the Bulldogs caught a lot of attention in sports news this weekend as the NFL combined kicked off for players to showcase their athletic abilities. Players like Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Zamir White, James Cook, George Pickens, and more were among some of the most impressive and fastest numbers of the combine this year. Showing himself at 6’6 350 pounds, Jordan David ran the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, a number we haven’t seen since from a big man since NFL star Aaron Donald’s debut. Celebrities and even NFLs verified Twitter accounts took to the internet to give their thoughts on how impressive this run from such a big body was. Georgia fans believe that this surely shit Davis into the top 5 to get drafted first. Georgia Pickens was also a massive focus from sports analysts. Having not played many games this past season due to a knee injury, Pickens draft stock was predicted to go down a significant amount, but that was befo

Whats going wrong with Dawg Basketball?

Image
The Georgia Bulldogs Basketball team is off to a tough start to the season with their current record sitting at 6-22. The bulldogs started this basketball season missing 6 of their last year's starters and still trying to fill the gap that now NBA star Anthony Edwards left when he left the program in 2020. The Bulldogs are currently sitting last in the South Eastern Conference with a record of 1-14. This season, the Bulldogs have yet to clinch an away game win, this is unique and raises questions on whether it's on the coaching staff, the players, or the fans. It is undoubtedly true that you will never get a crowd to travel for an away game like they would for football, but what must change in order for UGA to find these wins while away at the opponent's court? Earlier this week, Georgia lost by nearly 20 to the Texas A&M Aggies in what they expect to be a good game. Starting off the game strong, Georgia nearly led the game at halftime and lost all hope toward the

Georgia lands huge Texas recruit

With the Georgia Bulldogs losing two big names in their running back core, Zamir White and James Cook, Kirby Smart and the Dawgs look to fill that hole with their new recruiting class. Luckily, these young running backs see the path that former Bulldogs such as Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, Sony Michelle, and many more have paved. After losing longtime Georgia commit Jordan James, Georgia fans were worried that more of their recruits would flip and potentially choose other schools. However, that is not the case with the newest commit from the class of 2022, Andrew Paul. From Dallas, Texas, Andrew Paul is a highly recruited 3 star running back who was predicted to go to Clemson but chose his home to be in Athens. Paul played at Keller Central running an 11.73 100 meter as a sophomore and rushing for 747 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. While those numbers sound very promising, his 2021 junior season was better by a mere 2,000 yards. Rushing for an unbelievable 2612 yards with 41 rushing tou

Stetson Bennet to Return

Image
The story of Stetson Bennet and his career at Georgia so far has been something truly special. The walk-on freshman quarterback sat on the bench for years, learning, watching the ins and out of the program, and plotting his way to the starting position. The starting quarterback led Georgia to its first National Championship since 1980 when Herschel Walker was the star running back for the team. Earlier last week, Stetson Bennet announced his return to Georgia rather than putting himself in this year's NFL draft class. University of Georgia fans is torn on how to feel about the return of their National Championship winning QB. Though Stetson did everything he could and got the job done this season, he hasn't always proven himself to be the most clutch quarterback in the past. The question that all UGA fans want to be answered is simple, will Stetson start at quarterback this season? With a huge recruiting class and all eyes on the program, fans believe there may be a better qua

Jermain Burton to Alabama!

Image
It's a sad day for Dawg fans as we see one of the greatest receivers in recent years at Georgia transfer over to the enemy. That's right, Jermaine Burton has left the Dawgs and went to join Nick Saban and the Tide. Burton was a star for the Georgia offense in the 2021 season averaging 19.1 yards per reception with 26 receptions on the season with 5 touchdowns and a total of 497 yards. The sophomore star had similar numbers his freshman year as well, proving his consistency. Georgia fans are in awe at the transfer by the sophomore, the question everyone is asking is "Why?". Burton clearly had a starting spot on Georgia and it didn't look like that was going to change anytime soon. the Bulldogs just beat Alabama in the national championship so why not stay and try to repeat? Burton announced that he was leaving Kirby Smart and the dawgs last week, though it was a surprise he was leaving, you can look at his high school transcripts and see a similar pattern of
